Looking for a babysitter? Child care for your little ones? Maybe you just need a sitter occasionally for a date night or maybe you need someone to care for your children for a couple hours during the day regularly or sporadically. Or are you looking for fulltime childcare while you work?
If you don’t have family that lives near you in Lake Country, it can be hard to get out of the house without the kiddos. Luckily, there are a few resources to aid in your search for child care!
If you live in the Arrowhead School District, check out this new resource: Lake Country Baby Sitters Connection.
“A place for Lake Country area families to connect with baby sitters within the Lake Country/Arrowhead High School district. 💕
NOTE: Admins do not screen baby-sitters. This page is simply a way to connect sitters/families and it is up to each family to check references, do background checks, etc. “
Looking for more fulltime care for your child? Check out Lake Country Nanny Network.
“This group is intended for caregivers and parents in the Lake Country area of Wisconsin.
As a mom and nanny, I know how important it is finding good quality care for your child(ren). I wanted to created an extension of the Nannies of Lake Country for parents to join. Feel free to post any childcare positions, whether it is a full time nanny position, back up care or occasional babysitting, all are welcome. Both nannies who are seeking a position or have free time for a date night and parents searching for a care provider are encouraged to post here.
Nanny: A person, often with special training in early childhood development, and great experience caring for children, employed to care for children on a daily-basis, whether part-time or full-time. This person usually comes up with exciting and engaging challenges and activities for kids, and is a part of their growth and development.
Babysitter: A person hired to take charge of a child while the parents are temporarily away. Usually a night gig or an after-school role. This can also be a person who is in charge of daily shuffling, school drop-off and pick ups, getting dinner on the table, but does not typically play a role in creating engaging activities.
Mother’s helper: This person is typically a teenager or college student hired to assist a parent with household chores and keeping kids entertained, while the parent is around. It’s often great training for future babysitters or nannies. Because of close proximity of the parent, this person is not typically considered “in charge,” but more of a responsible playmate and parental assistant.”
