Well, Hello!
As most of you are aware, my name is Erin, and I have been managing Lake Country Family Fun since I purchased it from Melissa Peterson in August 2016. I have been a fan of this site since it started, after bumping into Melissa in a coffee shop in downtown Oconomowoc years ago. It was and still is such a blessing to have a one-stop parenting resource in the area that covers all aspects of parenting and family fun in southeastern Wisconsin. Melissa has done such a great job being active in the community and developing this site, and I cannot wait to share with you some of the things in store for Lake Country Family Fun’s future.
First, a little about me. I am from southeastern WI, moving to Green Bay for college, and moving back to the area after graduation. My husband, Brandon, and I love to call this area home and find it to be the perfect place to raise our family. We have two daughters, Teagan (5), and Laikin (2). We love the abundance of the lakes and strong influence of small businesses that make this area so unique. In the summer we enjoy boating, swimming, and paddleboarding. And, as long as there is snow on the ground, we will be found sledding and snowmobiling throughout the winter.

As Lake Country Family Fun strives to be your trusted, one-stop resource for local family fun in Southeastern Wisconsin, please take note of what will be staying the same and what new features will be added. I have been taking in a lot of feedback from Lake Country Family Fun fans in the past couple months. Your events calendar, guides to fun, and our events: Hartland Kids Day and the Oconomowoc Costume Swap, will not being going anywhere. The Oconomowoc Costume Swap was this past Saturday, and was another success. Thank you to all the families that participated. I enjoyed meeting you, and please know that you are so appreciated! As for the website itself, our WordPress consultant, Stephanie, has been hard at work behind the scenes making the site run faster and look sleeker (read more below)! In fact, not only is she our own personal IT consultant, she will be contributing some pieces on her journey with adoption to share with you. Read more about Stephanie here.
Stephanie and myself are not the only new faces around here. I am so excited to introduce Martha to you! Martha is a local lifestyle blogger who will be contributing regular pieces on her journey with motherhood, working, staying stylish, and balancing it all at the same time. She will be keeping it real and throwing in some humor for us as well. Read more about Martha here and stay tuned for her first post this week!
As stated above, Lake Country Family Fun is taking into account a lot of fan feedback. So much that, we are doing a series on you – the Lake Country Family Fun fan! The series started last week. Lake Country Family Gets a Makeover!
LakeCountryFamilyFun.com now has a whole new look. We have a new theme, which helps to streamline your experience however you choose to access Lake Country Family Fun. If you notice anything not quite right, please let us know, and we will fix it as soon as possible 🙂 And the colors – the blues and teals signify the lakes and amazing natural resources this area has to offer and for us to enjoy. Tell Stephanie thank you!! And, the most exciting part of our new look is our new logo!
