Welcome to week 5 of our fall family dinner series brought to you by Brewers Organics!
Nothing says family fun, like making homemade pizza together – choosing your favorite toppings, helping to spread the sauce, eagerly waiting for the crust to turn the perfect golden brown. Grab your kids, get in the kitchen, get messy, and make a delicious pizza served with some pretty awesome memories!
What is Brewers Organics? Brewers Organics is an organic produce delivery service company based out of Milwaukee, WI. They not only deliver organic produce right to your front door, but they also have a shop full of Wisconsin products – milk, eggs, meat, and cheese. When you go into their shop, you will find flour, fettucine, coffee, and tea, among many other products, even chocolate! All orders are completely customizable, and there are no commitments.
Also, Brewers Organics not only delivers to the Milwaukee and Lake Country area, but they also deliver to the Madison and Fox Valley (Appleton, WI) area. So, if you have friends or family living near Madison or Appleton, pass this along to them!
Many thanks to Chelsea Gloeckner with Victae.com, who does all the recipe planning with Brewers Organics and focuses on simple, healthy meals. Chelsea prepared the following recipe for our Lake Country Family Fun readers to enjoy with their families.

Family Pizza Party Night
When it comes to making dinner for the whole family, it can be tricky to make something that everyone will like, especially when you have younger children or less-adventurous eaters. But there is one thing that everyone loves-and that’s pizza!
When you make pizza at home, it will always be instantly more nutritious than the delivery variety. To encourage young ones to eat more veggies, get them involved in the kitchen and cooking process! Children feel empowered when they create their own pizzas, and are more likely to be adventurous with eating vegetables if they decorate their own pie 🙂
Add fresh and local items that arrive in your Brewer’s Organics Box that week! Yum!
2 whole wheat pizza dough balls (find them at Trader Joe’s)
Marinara sauce or your favorite pasta sauce
Vegetables, sliced or diced thinly
Preheat oven to 350˚ F.
Grease pizza pans or baking sheets with nonstick cooking spray. Roll pizza dough into circles.
The great thing about making pizza at home is that you decide how thin/thick you want your crust.
You can also divide the dough into 4 small pizzas instead of 2 large pizzas, which allows for more individualization of flavor combinations.
Ladle sauce onto each pizza and sprinkle with cheese. Add vegetables, and then bake for 12 minutes.
Increase oven heat to 425˚ F and bake for 5 minutes.
Mushrooms + Scallions + Poblano Pepper + Shredded Mozzarella
Pineapple + Ham + Red Bell Pepper + Colby Jack Cheese
Pear + Sautéed Red Onion + Gorgonzola
Pesto + Tomatoes + Sliced mozzarella
