Free Family Movie Night: The Thrill of Air Racing/ Annual Air Races in Reno Friday, March 1st at 6pm Atlantic Aviation Hangar in Waukesha.

“The September Family” is a documentary about the thrill of Air Racing. Being produced by an entire team of pilots and race fans, this film offers an intimate glimpse into the world of the annual air races in Reno. As the events come to a close, the documentary pays homage to the years when these races became a catalyst for innovation, fostered connections, and ignited a profound passion for racing.

Directed by Ethan O’Rourke, “The September Family” weaves a compelling narrative through the heartfelt stories of individuals deeply connected to the races. The film explores the profound impact of these events on the lives of its subjects, shedding light on the symbiotic relationship between the racers and the atmosphere that fueled their collective passion.

This movie is currently only shown at film festivals and will be released to the public September 14th, 2024.

Showings will be in a heated hangar and large screen will be flanked by planes to add to the experience. BRING YOUR OWN CHAIRS OR BLANKET (chairs not be provided). Please park in the terminal lot at 2525 Aviation Drive, Waukesah, WI 53188. You can access the Atlantic Aviation Hangar via the terminal ramp.
