Best August Festivals

Best Summer Festivals

After a year with no real summer festivals, 2021 is back with {some} festivals. We scoped them out, but will be updating this post as summer nears and more event organizers put out the details on their festivities.

Summer is in full swing, and we are hoping for awesome weather (lots of heat, and only rain at night -ha!).  The following are bigger festivals in the area and if you are looking for smaller type events, check out our summer bucket list with 77 fun things to do including city outdoor concerts. From the State Fair to Oconomowoc Festival Week, you are sure to find more fun to squeeze out of your summer. Please note that Summerfest is currently scheduled for the first three weekends in September. We also know that Scottish Fest, Polish Fest, Festa Italiana, German Fest, PrideFest, Locust Street Festival and Bastille Days are canceled for 2021. Read on for the Best Festivals!

  • Oconomowoc Festival of the Arts is scheduled for August 21 and 22, 2021.
  • Oconomowoc Festival Week is a week that we look forward to every year!  There are so many things to do that keep the whole family entertained.  The week starts with Kids Fest at Roosevelt Park and Kids Day at the Beach on Tuesday, August 10th and ends with the Festival of the Arts over the weekend on August 21st and 22nd.
  • The Oconomowoc Festival of the Arts is considered one of the top outdoor fine art festivals in the Midwest. It is held on the beautiful shores of Fowler Lake at Fowler Park. This volunteer-run Festival works hard to make this a rewarding event for both the artists and attendees. And don’t forget to take the pontoon shuttle 😉

Mexican Fiesta is currently scheduled for August 27, 28 and 29.

Ixonia Town and Country Days is August 21 and 22, 2021.

Fiesta Waukesha is undecided for 2021.
