Best Summer Festivals

Wisconsin has no shortage of summer festivals and the SE Wisconsin area boasts many of awesome ones you do not want to miss. We scoped them out, and will be updating this post as summer nears and more event organizers put out the details on their festivities.

We are excited for summer and all the awesome weather that will get us outdoors to enjoy all the festivals!  The following are bigger festivals in the area and if you are looking for smaller type events, check out our summer bucket list with 77 fun things to do including city outdoor concerts. Fiesta Latina in West Bend is on May 20, 2023.

Maifest in Germantown – is May 20, 2023.

The Old Falls Village Revolutionary War Days takes places on May 20 and 21, 2023. 

Burlington Jamboree – (previously Chocolate Fest) takes place May 26 – 29, 2023.

Falls Memorial Fest – Menomonee Falls takes place on May 27, 2023.

Pride Fest will return in 2023 on June 1 – 3, 2023

Milwaukee Highland Games will take place on June 3, 2023 at a new location {Croatian Park} in Wauwatosa.

Okauchee Lions Days 2023 will take place June 2-4, 2023

Polish Fest will return in 2023 and be on June 9-11, 2023

Summerfeste in Mukwonago is going on June 15-18, 2023.

Juneteenth celebration on June 19th – annual parade is scheduled from 9-11 a.m. in Milwaukee on June 19, 2023.

Hartland Hometown Celebration is taking place June 30 – July 2, 2023.

Cedarburg’s Strawberry Festival is back for the first time in two years on June 24 & 25, 2023.

Summerfest in Milwaukee is scheduled June 22-24, June 29-July1 and July 6-8, 2023.

Delafield Block Party will take place July 13, 14, and 15, 2023. NEW THIS YEAR: THURSDAY!

Lake Country Art Festival will take place July 8, 2023.

Sussex Lions Daze will be July 14-16, 2023.

Ashippun Fireman’s Picnic – July 8-9, 2022

Bastille Days will return to downtown Milwaukee and Cathedral Square Park July 13-16th! The FREE street festival will feature great food, music, entertainment, the return of the infamous Storm the Bastille Run/Walk, along with some fresh new twists to create an authentic French flavor

Waterford Balloonfest takes place in Waterford on July 15, 2023.

Menomonee Falls Lavender Fest will be July 15 in downtown Menomonee Falls. 

Armenian Fest is currently scheduled for July 16, 2023.

The Milwaukee Air and Water Show will return in 2022 on July 22-23, 2023.

The Waukesha County Fair will be July 19-23, 2023. 

Hartland Kids Day is Wednesday, July 26th from 9-2 at Nixon Park. It is our 11th annual event. 

Dousman Derby Days is scheduled for July 27-30, 2023.

Milwaukee Brewfest is currently scheduled for July 29, 2023.

German Fest Milwaukee will take place July 28 – 30, 2023.

Wisconsin State Fair is August 3-13th, 2023.

Riverfest in Watertown is taking place on August 10 – 13, 2023.

Waukesha Bluesfest – Delafield will take place August 11-12, 2023.

Town Food Truck Festival at the Corners of Brookfield on August 16, 2023.

Irish Fest is currently scheduled for August 17 – 20, 2023.

Oconomowoc Festival of the Arts is scheduled for August 19 and 20, 2023.

DandiLion Daze – Muskego will take place August 25-27, 2023.

Mexican Fiesta is currently scheduled for August 25-27, 2023.

Milwaukee Zoo A la Carte , will return in 2023 and take place August 17-19. 

Ixonia Town and Country Days is August 19-20, 2023.

FALL FEST at St. Charles Parish returns in 2022 – September 9 -11, 2022

Town Food Truck Festival at the Corners of Brookfield on September 21, 2022.

Festa Italiana will take place on the Italian Community Center grounds Sept 24-25, 2022.
