On Friday, August 30th, Be The Match will be holding a stem cell donor registry drive at the Lake Country Beer Garden at Nixon Park in honor of Ian Lang, a 16 year old Hartland boy who is battling ewing sarcoma, which is a rare and painful cancerous tumor in the bones and soft tissue. Ian will be undergoing a stem cell transplant in the coming weeks in an effort to fight his disease. Ian and his family want to be sure all patients have an equal chance at finding a matching donor for a life saving cure. Come out on August 30th, enjoy a beer, watch the Badger game on the big screen in the park and get swabbed to join the donor registry!
