Lake Country Family Fun in the Waukesha Freeman

Lake Country Family Fun has always had a local charitable component, since its inception, nine years ago. During the recent COVID-19 pandemic, we found ourselves in a place to give back and support the community, which is near and dear to our hearts and mission statement. We were originally contacted by a longtime reader and Lake Country Currents speaker, Julie Coughlin, who asked about setting up a variation of a meal train arrangement for those in healthcare.

Ultimately, a different way to give back was set up to support our local healthcare staff. Lake Country Family Fun reached out to our partners at Chick-fil-A Pewaukee and our partners at the ProHealth Care Foundation to deliver meals to three locations:

  • ProHealth Waukesha Memorial Hospital
  • ProHealth Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital
  • UW Cancer Center at ProHealth Care Pewaukee

Seventy meals were delivered to the three locations from both the Pewaukee and Delafield Chick-fil-A locations. The restaurants have been on the forefront of the pandemic with their cleaning, hygiene, and philanthropic contribution to our local communities.
