Mukwonago Red Brick Museum Tours occur on the 2nd & 4th Sundays, June thru September from 1:00 to 4:00 pm.

June 23: Mukwonago Red Brick Museum Tours & “The Life of Pioneer Judge Martin Field”. A presentation of “The Life of Pioneer Judge Martin Field” will also be featured throughout the afternoon. Martin Field was one of the first settlers in Mukwonago and held multiple judicial and other government positions throughout his life. The Mukwonago Historical Society President Henry Hecker leads this look back into the early days of Mukwonago.

July 14: Mukwonago Red Brick Museum Tours & “Bicycles Made in Mukwonago” Presentation.  The Mukwonago Red Brick Museum is open for Guided Tours of the Post-Civil-War Victorian brick house, Log Cabin Trading Post and RENOVATED & RECURATED Native American Room featuring three North American Indian collections. The Featured Historical Presentation is “Bicycles Made in Mukwonago”. Learn about the bicycles manufactured in Mukwonago around the turn of the 20th Century – and see the authentic bicycle in our collection! Free parking in the lot behind the museum and along Atkinson Street.

July 28: Muwonago Red Brick Museum Tours & “History of the Phantom Lake YMCA”.  The Featured Historical Presentation is “History of the Phantom Lake YMCA”. When & who founded the camp? How long has it been in operation? These questions and more answered. Free parking in the lot behind the museum and along Atkinson Street.

August 11: Museum Guided Tours & Presentation: “The Craig Melon of Mukwonago”.  The Featured Historical Presentation is “The Craig Melon of Mukwonago” . Who are the Craigs? Where did they live? What’s the big deal with their melons?

August 25: Guided House Tours & Presentation: “Albert Grutzmacher: Master Builder”.  The Featured Historical Presentation is “Albert Grutzmacher: Master Builder”. Albert and his crew didn’t just build in Mukwonago – you may be surprised to find out some of the other area buildings he built. Albert has a very close connection to the museum too – come find out how! Presentations are given during tour hours and last ~45-60 minutes. Free parking in the lot behind the museum and along Atkinson Street.

September 8: Museum Tours & Presentation: “Reminisces of a Long Time Resident”.  The Featured Historical Presentation is “Reminisces of a Long Time Resident”. Learn about the history of Mukwonago straight from a long-time resident. Free parking in the lot behind the museum and along Atkinson Street. 9/8

September 22: Museum Tours & Presentation: “Life of Charlie Dewey”.  The Featured Historical Presentation is “Life of Charlie Dewey”. Learn about this lifelong Mukwonago resident’s activities and influence throughout his life. Free parking in the lot behind the museum and along Atkinson Street.
