The Smiley Barn isn’t your ordinary toy store. This is where you’ll find a wide variety of toys, books, and puzzles made to fuel a child’s imagination, and give them some much-needed, “screen-free” fun. We carry the kinds of specialty toys you won’t find just anywhere, a selection of new and old-school candies—and this April, we’ve got Easter activities galore!

Bring the kids in to pet some real bunnies and build their own Easter basket! For the first 15 minutes of every hour (Tuesday-Saturday, from 10am to 6pm, and Sunday and Monday, 10am to 4pm), a staff member will bring out our five bunnies (Oreo, Winston, Lily, Luna, and Ralph), and hold them so your little one gets a chance to see just how soft a real bunny can be! But hurry, the last day to pet the bunnies is April 16th!

You can also shop our selection of toys, candy, books, and puzzles to custom-build an Easter basket. We’ll even wrap and ribbon it for you! If you’re in a hurry, you can choose from our small or large pre-assembled baskets for $19.99 and $39.99. The Smiley Barn is your one-stop-Easter-shop. Hop on in today!

Easter Egg Hunts and More Easter Fun

Note: events added weekly, so check back for more options!

Discover Brookfield has hidden 30 wooden eggs around the Town of Brookfield. Can you find them all? Download the Easter Egg Hunt Passport for hints on where to find the eggs. Once you’ve found all 30, turn in your completed passport to the Discover Brookfield office for a chance to win awesome prizes! Active April 1 through April 17th, 2022.

  1. Have a glow in the dark Easter Egg Hunt in your living room or basement.
  2. Use Christmas lights to decorate and have a nighttime hunt.
  3. Put pictures of Easter Eggs in your windows and walk around your neighborhood looking for and pointing out others’ Easter Eggs.
  4. Bake Easter Egg shaped cut out cookies and decorate them. Put them in bags or containers to hide around the kitchen or specific room and keep what you find!
  5. Make an Easter Egg shaped wreath or decorate a circle wreath with spring/Easter colors and Easter eggs!
  6. Make Salt Dough Easter Eggs. This recipe only calls for flour, salt, and water! You won’t even need to run to the store or schedule a grocery delivery! Team member Megan found this fun recipe. Once you’ve made the eggs and decorated them, hang them all over the house.
  7. Make and decorate Easter Egg shaped cookies.
  8. Make your indoor or outdoor Easter Egg hunt a scavenger hunt with clues. When they get to the end, have them find their hidden basket!
  9. Dye eggs this year with a new method. There are SO many ways to die an egg – the easiest right now is with supplies already in the house, like crayons.
  10. “Egg” your neighbor’s yard! We did this last year and it was so much fun. Put Easter eggs in your neighbor’s yard for them to do!
