Does your child have school today or want a snow day tomorrow? We asked on Lake Country Family Fun’s Facebook page for readers to check out the snow day calculator and see what the percentage was if their school (zip code) would close and call a snow day. Arrowhead Union High School District – Closed on Friday, January 23rd, 2026
Hartland-Lakeside School District/Arrowhead – Closed on Friday, January 23rd, 2026.
Lake Country School District/Arrowhead – NO SCHOOL ON FRIDAY JANUARY 23RD, DUE TO DANGEROUS WINDCHILLS! STAY WARM!
Swallow School District (Merton) – Closed Friday, Jan 23.
Merton School District – Closed on Friday, Jan 23rd.
Stone Bank School District – School canceled Friday, January 23, 2026.
Oconomowoc School District – Closed Friday, January 23, 2026
The Oconomowoc Area School District will be closed on Friday, January 23, due to the expected cold temperatures and sustained wind chills below -30. This includes all after-school activities, clubs, and sports scheduled at our Elementary and Intermediate schools, and Oconomowoc High School.
Families can check their email for additional information about school activities scheduled for Saturday, January 24. School will resume on Monday, January 26.
Pewaukee School District– Closed, Friday, January 23, 2026
North Lake School District – We will be open Thursday but will be cosed on Friday due to extreme cold. The Moms & Sons Magic Night will still be held on Friday as scheduled as it is a North Lake Education Foundation sponsored event.
Palmyra – Eagle School District – Closed January 23, 2026 “
All Schools including the Early Learning Center will be CLOSED on Friday, January 23, 2026 and also CLOSED for any weekend activities/events for Saturday, January 24, 2026 due to unsafe weather conditions.
All before and after school athletics and activities will be CANCELLED.”

Muskego-Norway School District – Closed January 23, 2026
Mukwonago Area School District – Closed Friday, January 23, 2026

Because the extreme cold temperatures are expected to warm (slightly) Friday afternoon, all middle and high school activity events and athletic events will continue as planned. Families should use their discretion when determining their child’s participation.
School District of New Berlin – Closed Friday, Janauary 23, 2026
School District of Menomonee Falls – Due to the extreme cold weather forecast, all schools in the School District of Menomonee Falls will be closed on Friday, January 23, 2026.
