Lake Country Family Fun is partnering with local author, Jim Thompson, to bring you Peanut the Lamb Storytime at Roots Coffeebar and Cafe in downtown Oconomowoc. Mark your calendars for November 4, 2017 at 10:00 am. We will see you there!
Who is Peanut the Lamb?
Peanut the Lamb was a tiny lamb born blind on a farm just west of Waukesha County, in Ixonia, WI. Just after she was born, her farmers, Jim and Laura Thompson, could tell something was different. They took a chance on her, and she has overcome her challenges. Peanut is now seven years old, happily prancing around her farm.
Tell us how Peanut the Lamb came to be a storybook.
What does the storytime at Roots Coffeebar and Cafe entail?
Author Jim Thompson will read from the book and tell stories about Blind Faith Farm. Copies of the book will be available for purchase. Jim will be happy to sign books for you. See you there!
You, too, can meet Peanut the Lamb!
My kiddos and I went to Blind Faith Farm to meet Peanut the Lamb. We were greeted by Jim Thompson, who gave us a tour of the farm. We collected fallen apples from their own apple tree to feed to Peanut. We then met the big sheep flock (Stella and the boys), followed by Peanut’s flock. The kiddos so enjoyed feeding Peanut apple slices and running around with her. Ask Jim at the storytime event, how you, too, can visit Peanut at Blind Faith Farm. She is a sweetheart!
Nice job promoting the event Erin, we are grateful. We’re hoping for a good crowd. Your efforts are truly appreciated!!
Thank you, Jim! We love Peanut’s Story 🙂
