Looking to get out and get scared this fall?  We have a guide that will be sure to knock your socks off. There are plenty of haunted attractions in South East Wisconsin. In the past few years, a group of my girlfriends have gotten together for haunted houses – it’s a blast! And we love watching scary movies too! So if you are looking for a date night, or a night out with your friends we hope you have a spooky good time!

WISCONSIN FEARGROUNDS-
Located at the Waukesha Expo Center, 1000 Northview Road, Waukesha

The Wisconsin Feargrounds consists of three multi-award winning haunted houses await you in one location on the Waukesha County Expo Center Grounds. Selected as America’s number 1 “Must See” Haunted Houses. With two haunted houses, Anarcy and Labyrinth, you’re sure to get more FEAR than you bargained for!  The Wisconsin Fear Grounds is a Wisconsin Halloween Tradition. They are open from October 4th – 26th on various days/times – see schedule HERE.

THE DARK CARNIVAL– 
Located at 212 E Wisconsin Avenue, Oconomowoc

Join us this October for The Dark Carnival Haunted House for over 10,000 square feet of rapid haunting intensity! Fear inducing actors, special effects, lighting and sound as you make your way through 40+ rooms of terror. Average time is 40 minutes. The Dark Carnival remains one of the top rated haunts in southeast Wisconsin!  Ticket check-in 6:30pm-10:30pm, Doors open 7:00pm. Must be checked in before 10:30pm to enter. Light on Day at the Dark Carnival for ages 4-11 will be right before the HALLOWEEN PARADE.

WAUKESHA GHOST WALKS- Presented by the American Ghost Walks
Located Riverwalk Entrance Corner of N. Barstow and Corrina

Learn the unique haunted heritage of Downtown Waukesha with real ghost stories, local folklore, and recent reports of paranormal activity! Enjoy a breezy mile and a half walk over the course of 90-120 minutes and start at 7:30pm.  Note: There are also Ghost walk tours in Milwaukee, Lake Geneva, and Madison. HILL HAS EYES
Located at 7900 Crystal Ridge Rd, Franklin, WI 53132

This Haunted experience is outdoor. It’s been voted by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinenl as Southeast’s Wisconsin #1 Haunted Attraction. Bonfire parties. A chairlift. 5 unique outdoor haunts. The schedule and tickets can be found HERE.  Milwaukee’s scariest haunted attraction features a gruesome cast of flesh eating mutant hillbillies. Don’t linger too long on the haunted trails, or they’ll make you part of the attraction!

Days Open in 2019: The Hill Has Eyes runs for 22 nights of Terror this year.  Sept 27-29, Oct 3-6, 10-13, 17-20, 24-27, 31-2. The Not So Scary Halloween Party is: Friday October 18 & 25 from 5-6:30pm.

MILWAUKEE GHOST WALKS- Presented by the American Ghost Walks (Two Locations)
1. Tours depart from St. Paul Ave. and Water St. (in front of the Milwaukee Public Market, 400 N. Water Street, Milwaukee, WI) in the Historic Third Ward

Our flagship walking tour introduces you to the unique heritage of the Historic Third Ward in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. You hear tales of haunted history, ghost stories, FORTEAN folklore, and recent reports of paranormal activity (all documented through historical research, archival newspaper reports, and firsthand accounts). This tour is frequently updated with new information from ongoing paranormal investigations.

Join us for a nostalgic stroll through this charming art district, once a rough and mysterious 19th century ghetto known as the “Bloody Third.”

2. The GhOSTS OF CHRISTMAS PAST TOUr meets at the corner of Water and Wells streets right in front of the Pabst Theater

Tour Milwaukee in the winter and hear the spooky stories of the city. Learn why the Pfister Hotel is as notorious with Major League Baseball players as it is with paranormal investigators, why your eyes might be drawn upward when visiting City Hall, which bar has a 121-year-old mummified cat as a mascot, and the identity of the ghost that might be sitting next to you at the Pabst Theater, among other stories.

This tour is great if you love ghost stories and perfect if you have tickets to The Rep’s 7:30 p.m. performance of A Christmas Carol at the Pabst (the tour arrives at the Pabst half an hour before show time—please note this tour does not include entrance to the performance and is not affiliated with The Rep or Pabst Theater).

MILWAUKEE’S HAUNTED BAR
Located at 422 South Second Street, Milwaukee, WI

Milwaukee’s only licensed Cigar Bar, circa 1986 w/ vintage whiskies, wines and stellar foods, housed in a haunted Building. You must be 21 to enjoy! The Haunted Tours take about 1 hour.

FIserv Forum’s Deer District becomes the “Fear District”
Located at 422 South Second Street, Milwaukee, WI

Fear District is NEW to the plaza at Fiserv Forum this fall! Enjoy thrills and activities for the whole family throughout the day and come back for a frightening evening of fun after dusk!! Experience the Scream City like you never have before! It goes Thursdays 6-10, Fridays 6 – 11, Saturdays 11-11 and Sundays 2-8pm. Earlier in the day enjoy not so scary fun.  Three different haunted houses to try. Scary movies in the Beer Garden!

MEADOWBROOK HAUNTED
2970 Mile View Road, West Bend, WI

The Meadowbrook Pumpkin Farm Haunted Cornfield experience is a MUST SEE – MUST DO – ONE OF A KIND adventure. YOU WILL HAVE FUN, and it WILL BE the FUNNEST THING you do this October! It’s different from a Haunted House, totally un-staged and hair-raising adventure through 8 +creepy Houses and 3/4 Miles of Narrow  trails in Tall Dense Corn, on Narrow confined Dark Trails full of 100s of Creepy Creatures , Scenes, Air activated Monsters, intense sound and lighting  effects. The Live-Actor Nighttime Haunted Cornfield Adventures are on Friday and Saturday nights 6 till midnight ONLY. Enjoy our Bonfire while you wait for your wristband number to be called.  It is geared for us older kids & adults. This farm-style haunt takes 40-45 minutes to complete.

Days Open in 2019: The Haunted Cornfield (non actor version) is open every day – both during the day (non-scary) and at night (scarier). Note that the Live Actor Version runs Friday and Saturday nights including October 4, 5, 11, 12, 18, 19, 25, 26.

TERROR ON RURAL STREET- 
Located at 147 N Rural St Hartford, Wisconsin 53027

Terror on Rural Street is a 17 room house with many High Tech effects as well as over 30 costumed actors. There is a mix of many Animatronics along with live actors to bring you a new level of fear. There is a heated waiting area and lots of free parking. Open 6:30 pm until 10:30 pm both Friday and Saturday night.

This year there is a NEW BLACKOUT night on Nov 1st. This is where you go through our haunted house with all the lights turned off, and each group is given a low light glow stick or battery operated candle, and they have to make their way through the haunted house.

THE ABANDONED HAUNTED HOUSE
2825 SE Frontage Road Mount Pleasant, WI 53177 (right of 94)

This haunt boasts 4 haunted attractions on 1 property. They include Ambush Haunted House, Hysteria Haunted House, Stalker Haunted Cornfield and Shoot a Freak. The Abandoned Haunted House Complex houses two large, full-size Wisconsin haunted houses for scary Halloween entertainment–located 30 minutes north of Chicago, 20 minutes south of Milwaukee, and about 40 minutes from Waukesha, Wisconsin. THE DOMINION OF TERROR
2024 North 15th Street Sheboygan, WI

The Dominion of Terror is a non-profit Haunted House, run and funded by the Sheboygan Jaycees. The DOT is one of the Jaycees’ biggest fundraisers of the year for giving back to the community. All profits are donated at the end of the season to local charities. Each year they design, construct, use and then teardown 20+ rooms in the Haunted House. In 2018 they added a new attraction, an Escape Room which requires separate booking.  Tickets just $15.

THE DARK SIDE HAUNTED ADVENTURE

Welcome to the dark side. Voted Wisconsin’s scariest haunt year after year, Dark Side is a SCREAM PARK!  Now with 7 haunts featuring the brand new Grimm Reaper Railway. Open Friday and Saturdays from 7 to 10pm. Full schedule will be available HERE.

SCHUSTER’S FARM HAUNTED FOREST
1326 US HWY 12 and 18 Deerfield WI 53531

They have designed the Haunted Forest to be both scary and interactive for teenagers and adult. Our daytime adventures and flashlight corn maze are fun for all ages. Tickets sold Online or at ticket booth from Dark ’til 10 pm (Haunting continues until all ticket holders have experienced the terror).

MADISON GHOST WALKS- Presented by the American Ghost Walks (Three locations)
1. The Madison Ghost Walks – CAPITOL SQUARE TOUR meets across the street from the Great Dane Brewpub downtown at the corner of King Street and South Webster.

Take a walking tour of Madison’s historic Capitol Square and get a unique perspective on the history of the city. Your guides and expert storytellers let you in on the ghost stories, urban legends, and paranormal activity that are sprinkled throughout Madison’s past. 2. The STATE STREET SIDE OF THE CAPITOL TOUR meets in front of the Wisconsin Veterans Museum. 

Discover the history and ghost stories of Madison, Wisconsin, with our ghost walk on the State Street side of Capitol Square. We take the time to research our stories to make sure you hear interesting and spooky tales you haven’t heard before. Find available dates/times here.

3. The UW CAMPUS TOUR meets in front of the fountain at Library Mall

Join American Ghost Walks for a tour around the UW campus in Madison. We let you in on the legends, history, ghost stories, and real paranormal experiences that have been reported on the University of Wisconsin campus, including around Library Mall and up and down Bascom Hill. Dates/times TBD.

THE SCREAMATORIUM

20,000 square feet of pure terror, the Screamatorium boasts at being “Southern Wisconsin’s Largest Indoor Haunted Attraction.”

Our tour meets near downtown Lake Geneva at Seminary Park at the corner of Lake Shore Drive and Baker Street.

Discover the haunted history of Lake Geneva with our walking tour around the beautiful downtown by Geneva Lake. Discover colorful characters, haunted mansions, vengeful spirits, monsters, and more! We’ve spent a lot of time researching supernatural and weird stories around Lake Geneva so that we have brand new stories and content that we can guarantee you’ve never heard before. This is not a haunted house, so no rent-a-ghouls have been hired to jump out at you.
