A Back-to-School Self-Care Reset for Moms in Pewaukee

I recently spent a morning at Spargo Salon, Spa & MediSpa in Pewaukee, and if you’re a mom who has been putting everyone else’s needs ahead of your own, this was exactly the kind of reset I didn’t know I needed.

My First Impression of Spargo Salon & Spa in Pewaukee
From the moment I walked into Spargo, I felt comfortable and welcomed. The building itself is beautiful, but what really stood out to me was how quickly the experience shifted from “busy mom mode” to “okay, I can actually relax now.”
Spargo is a full-service salon, spa and MediSpa in Pewaukee, offering everything from hair and beauty services to facials, massages, wellness services and more.
For my visit, I was there for a Spargo Signature Facial, but the experience started before the facial itself.
And that might have been one of my favorite parts.
The Spa Experience Starts Before Your Treatment
The spa area is downstairs in a beautiful, private space. When you arrive for your spa service, you have a private locker for your belongings, and you’re provided with a cozy black Spargo robe.
There are also private bathrooms and showers, and one amenity I definitely recommend taking advantage of is the red light infrared sauna.
I used the sauna before my facial, and I am SO glad I did.
It was such a relaxing way to begin the morning and gave me a chance to slow down before my treatment even started. If you’re visiting Spargo for a spa service, don’t be tempted to rush straight into your appointment. Give yourself time to enjoy the spa experience.
A Quiet Place to Actually Unplug
After changing, I settled into the spa waiting area.
Think dim lighting, comfortable chairs, a beautiful fountain and complimentary snacks and beverages.
As a mom, I appreciated this more than I can probably explain.
There was no one asking me what they wanted for lunch. No one needed a snack. No errands were waiting for me. No schedule needed to be checked.
For a little while, I could just sit.
And sometimes that is exactly what self-care looks like.
My Spargo Signature Facial
Then it was time for my Spargo Signature Facial with Katie.
Katie was wonderful and made me feel comfortable right away. The Signature Facial is a 90-minute treatment designed to be both a skincare treatment and a relaxing experience, with added tension and stress relief.
For me, it was exactly what I needed.
The entire experience felt calming and unrushed. By the time my facial was finished, my skin felt fresh, clean and moisturized, and I felt like I had finally hit the reset button.
But my favorite part wasn’t even necessarily how my skin felt.
It was how I felt.
For that 90 minutes, I didn’t have to think about anything else.
No kids asking for snacks.
No errands.
No school schedules.
No mental checklist.
Just quiet, relaxation and someone taking care of ME. ❤️
A Few Things I Loved About My Spargo Visit

My Tip for Your First Visit to Spargo
Give yourself time.
Don’t plan your appointment so tightly that you’re rushing into the spa and rushing right back out again. Arriving early allows you to settle in and enjoy the amenities before your treatment.
And after your facial, give yourself a little time to wake back up before jumping immediately into your next activity.
I left feeling so relaxed that I definitely felt like I was still dreaming a little. 😊
My advice? Drink plenty of water (electrolytes, too) before and after your treatment, take your time and let yourself enjoy the experience.
Is Spargo Salon & Spa Worth It for Moms?
For me, absolutely.
As moms, we spend so much time making sure everyone else is taken care of that it can be surprisingly difficult to give ourselves permission to stop.
A facial can feel like a luxury. An hour or two away can feel impossible to schedule. And sometimes we convince ourselves we’ll take care of ourselves “when things slow down.”
But the thing about motherhood is that there is always something else.
That’s why I loved my experience at Spargo.
It wasn’t just about having my skin feel refreshed. It was about stepping away from the noise and having dedicated time to relax.
Whether you book a facial, massage, another spa service or simply make time to enjoy a little quiet, Spargo Salon & Spa feels like the kind of place where you can truly pause and take care of yourself.
