Mukwonago Library Storytime

If you live in or near Mukwonago and are interested in taking your child to a Mukwonago Community Library storytime this fall/winter 2018, please know that they do not require registration for many of their storytimes. There are some events that require registration. For those that require registration, click here, come in person to the Library, or call: 262-966-2933. They offer many different storytime and playgroup options for young children and their caregivers during this summer.

Check out these fun storytime events:

Every Tuesday at 9:30 am
For families with young children

A dance and movement program for families with young children. Join us for the hokey pokey, the limbo, and so much more. Held in the Community Room.


Wednesdays at 10:00 am
For ages 3-5 years
September 12-December 19

This is a traditional storytime featuring books, songs, and fingerplays. Caregivers are encouraged to remain with their children during the program and participate in all activities. Held in the Community Room.


Thursdays at 10:00 am
For ages Newborn-36 months
September 13–December 20

This program is designed for children and their caregivers to enjoy together. It features Mother Goose, books, songs, bouncy rhymes, fingerplays and lots of fun for little ones and their caregivers. Held in  the Children’s Area.


Fridays at 10:00 am
For families with young children.
September 14-December 21

Stop in for a sensory storytime, storytime yoga, books & bites, budding builders, or other themed Fantastic Fridays. For families with young children. Held in the Community Room.


Mondays at 6:30 pm
For families of all ages
September 17, October 15, November 19, December 17

Get cozy in your pajamas, grab your favorite stuffed animal or blanket, and visit the library for a bedtime story. Listen to stories, sing songs, and get those wiggles out before bed. Held in the Children’s Area.


Saturdays at 11:00 am
For families of all ages.
September 15, October 13, 27, November 24, December 8, 22

Come join Ms. Kelsey for a fun-filled storytime. There will be stories, songs, crafts, and other activities. All ages welcome. Held in the Children’s Area.


Thursdays at 4:00 pm
For families of all ages
September 6, October 4, November 1, December 6

Gather the family and compete for prizes. Fun for the whole family. Held in the Community Room.


Saturdays at 11:00 am
Ages 8-11
September 22 (held at Mukwonago’s Fall Fest), October 20, November 17, December 15

Join us for seasonal crafting activities. Supplies are provided. All you need to bring is your creativity. Held in  MetaSpace 511.


For readers of all ages.

Visit the library and read a poem, picture book, or book chapter to a Therapy Dog.  Held in the Children’s Area.

Learn Amazing Skills and Build Your Future! Explore coding in a fun and friendly way. Create apps, build video games and change the world! We aim to support and increase the number of women in computer science and work to close the gender gap in technology. No registration is required.  Held in  History Room.

A-MAZE-ing Science
Saturday, October 13
10:00 am-3:00 pm

Exercise your brain through A-MAZE-ing science. We use our brains to navigate “mazes” everyday–from the bike ride to the park to finding peanut butter at the grocery store. Visit the library and explore all kinds of mazes. Design a magnetic maze, maneuver your way through a squishy puzzle, create a life-size maze, and try out other fascinating brain teasers. You will have an amazing time.

In conjunction with the Wisconsin Science Festival. Families of all ages welcome.
