Bring your family to the Wauwatosa Independence Day Parade for the 4th of July in 2023!

Wauwatosa Independence Day Parade

In 2023 only, the 4th of July parade has a new route due to construction on the usual route. The parade will leave from the Hoyt Pool parking lot at 9:00 am, with lineup beginning at 7:30 am. The parade will then proceed north on Swan (92nd Street) to North Avenue, then turn right on North Avenue to 76th Street.

Parade Start Time: 9:00 am

The afternoon program begins at 1:00 pm at Hart Park, located at 73rd Street and Chestnut Street. The program consists of judging of decorated bikes, coaster wagons, doll buggies, and battery-operated children’s vehicles. The afternoon program is also a food drive for Tosa Cares Food Pantry. Bring one non-perishable food item to register decorated bikes, wagons, etc. Activities such as games and face painting will also be available, as well as free ice cream.

Entertainment at The Rotary Stage begins at 5:00 pm, with the Esprit Petites, Jackson Park Orchestra, Esprit Juniors, and Esprit Seniors.

Evening Program and Fireworks

PLEASE NOTE: The city of Wauwatosa’s Civic Celebration Commission moved the Fourth of July fireworks to a Tosa Night Out on August 7, 2024. The request came from police and fire officials over security and staffing concerns. There will not be 4th of July fireworks in Wauwatosa is 2024.
