Bring your family to the Wauwatosa Independence Day Parade for the 4th of July in 2024!

Wauwatosa Independence Day Parade

In 2024, the parade will leave from the Hoyt Pool parking lot at 9:00 am. The parade will then proceed north on Swan (92nd Street) to North Avenue, then turn right on North Avenue, ending near 80th Street.

Road closures:

• Swan Blvd will be closed just south of W. Meinecke Ave. and at the round about (south of Underwood Pkwy.)
• Menomonee River Pkwy will also be closed between North Ave & Hoyt Park Dr
• North Ave will be closed at N. 95th Street and at Wauwatosa Ave

Date: Thursday, July 4, 2024
Parade Start Time: 9:00 am

The July 4 afternoon event (1-3pm), which is usually at Hart Park, will be taking place at the City Hall parking lot for this year only due to construction at Hart Pak. If it rains, the event will be inside City Hall.

Bring one non-perishable food item to register decorated patriotic bikes, trikes, wagons, scooters, etc. for a prize. Your donation will benefit the Tosa Cares Food pantry. We’ll also provide free ice cream.

Evening Program and Fireworks

PLEASE NOTE: The city of Wauwatosa’s Civic Celebration Commission moved the Fourth of July fireworks to a Tosa Night Out on August 7, 2024. The request came from police and fire officials over security and staffing concerns. There will not be 4th of July fireworks in Wauwatosa is 2024.
