Wauwatosa Independence Day Parade
In 2025, the parade will leave the staging area east of Swan Blvd (92nd Street). The parade will go east on North Avenue, ending near 80th Street.
Road closures:
- N. Swan Blvd. will be closed between W. Meinecke Ave. and the Menomonee River Pkwy.
- Menomonee River Pkwy will also be closed between N. Swan Blvd. and Charles Hart Pkwy.
- W. North Ave will be closed between Menomonee River Pkwy. and Wauwatosa Ave.
Sensory Zone for the Wauwatosa Independence Day Parade
Between the blocks of 80th to 81st Street on North Avenue, be on the lookout for our Sensory Zone for the parade. In this section, designated with signage, there will be minimized lights and sounds for individuals with disabilities and those who prefer a less stimulating environment.
This initiative is geared towards individuals who are sensitive to sensory overload, including those with autism, PTSD, or other conditions that make such environments challenging. Our Sensory Zone ensures everyone can join in and enjoy the festivities comfortably.

- Parking – At the Bell Tower Office Bldg. (9200 W. North Ave.)
- Viewing Area – Located at the corner of Swan Blvd. & North Ave.

Afternoon Program on July 4: Wauwatosa Patriotic Pup Parade on July 4 at Hart Park’s Muellner Building, 12 – 3 pm
Celebrate Independence Day in paws-itively awesome style at our Patriotic Pup Parade! Join us on July 4 from 12pm to 3pm at Hart Park’s Muellner Building for a fun-filled event featuring adorable pups in red, white, and blue.
Bring your furry friend to strut their patriotic stuff in the parade and enjoy entertainment for all ages! They will have a balloon artist, face painter, and caricature artist to keep everyone entertained throughout the day.
Don’t forget to bring a non-perishable food item to benefit Tosa Cares and help support those in need.
Prizes, fun, and plenty of festive puppy love – mark your calendars and join in for the ultimate celebration!
Evening Program and Fireworks Drone Show
PLEASE NOTE: July 2, 9:15 pm Drone Show at Hart Park
Wauwatosa will be holding a drone show on July 2, 2025. The event will be held in Hart Park at approximately 9:15 pm.
