FreeThere will be a number of Memorial Day Observances in Waukesha in 2025. The Waukesha Allied Veterans Council will host the Memorial Day observances on Monday, May 26 to include:
The Waukesha Allied Veterans Council invites you to the Memorial Day commemoration to honor our fallen servicemen and women.Avenue of Flags (8:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m.)
Prairie Home Cemetery will be placing flags along the main road through the cemetery to commemorate those who gave the ultimate sacrifice for their country. Flags will be flying between 8:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. The cemetery grounds are also open to visitors during this time as well.
Riverside Ceremony (9:00 a.m.)
A river ceremony will take place at Veterans Park (710 N. West Avenue) at 10:00 a.m. We invite everyone to assemble and toss flowers into the river as a mark of respect for those who gave their lives. Please note that if you would like to partake in casting flowers into the river, you will need to bring your own live flowers (no plastic flowers).
After the ceremony, Coach USA will be providing a bus from Veterans Park to Cutler Park for those who would like to use it to attend the Memorial Day Service.
