Leave No Trace: A Trail Adventure for Girls (Girl Scouts – Brownies)
- When enjoying outdoor adventures, it is important for explorers to know how to take care of themselves as well as nature. The 7 Principles of Leave No Trace provide a framework that both adults and children can learn to help stay safe and minimize impact on the outdoors, whether hiking, camping, playing in a park, or in a backyard.During the Leave No Trace: A Trail Adventure for Girls event, participants practice hands-on activities to learn the 7 Principles of Leave No Trace and take a one-mile stewardship hike in Lapham Peak. This program helps scouts earn their Trail Adventure Badge. There are new activities and hiking routes for 2026, so even for those who participated in this event last year, there is more to learn.Note: This is a Girl Scouts only program. A Wisconsin State Park pass is required. Girls must be accompanied by a troop leader or other responsible adult, and the troop must maintain the adult/girl ratio required by the Girl Scouts organization. Admission is $5.00. Parents and troop leaders attend for free. Names of all attendees (adults and children) should be included when registering, but tickets only need to be purchased for the children.
