Father’s Day at the Milwaukee County Zoo

The Milwaukee County Zoo is a perfect place for families to spend quality time together. So celebrate Father’s Day at the Milwaukee County Zoo. Dads get free Zoo admission (no coupon necessary), presented by Prairie Farms Dairy. Parking fee still applies. Members get free admission every day with ID.
Look! Up in the sky! It’s a bird! It’s a plane! It’s SUPER DAD! To celebrate your dad or grandpa that always seemed to be able to do anything, treat them to a “Zoo-per” day by coming out for Father’s Day at the Zoo. All dads and grandpas will receive free admission* to the Zoo, making it the perfect time to come out and visit with some of the Zoo’s “Zoo-per Star” dads like Mariano the Humboldt penguin, Stan the Bactrian camel and Kota the Japanese macaque.
*Regular parking, attraction and concession rates apply. Zoo Pass and Platypus Circle members park for free with the exception of the remaining Basic Zoo Pass members.
The Zoo has introduced new entry and parking changes — read more about what to expect for your next visit.

Bees, butterflies, beetles, and the rare Poweshiek Skipperling — nature’s building blocks — are on a mission to keep our ecosystems thriving. Explore larger-than-life animatronic pollinators and discover how the Zoo helps protect them through native gardens, honeybee hives, and conservation initiatives.
Powerful Pollinators is located outside, toward Wild Burger.
- $4 per person, after regular Zoo admission
- Be amazed by more than 20 robotic creatures with sound and movement, plus photo ops and interactive climbable structures.
Some of the featured pollinators include:
- Rusty-patched bumble bee: This is the only bee protected under the Federal Endangered Species Act, and they can sometimes be found here in southeastern Wisconsin.
- Goldenrod crab spider: This creature gets their name from their likeness to a crab and the ability to walk sideways.
- Red-banded leafhopper: Also known as the candy-striped leafhopper, they can jump 100 times their body length!
- Hummingbird clearwing moth: Unlike most moths, this species is active during the day, often hovering at flowers just like a hummingbird.
And, a limited number of rare pollinator trading card packs are available daily. Collect all of the cards and unlock rewards with repeat visits throughout the summer!
