Believe it or not, both Erin and I go to the same dentist, and she is considered a biological or holistic dentist. We simply love Dr. Holinbeck as a practitioner we trust, but also as a friend and fellow woman-owned business powerhouse.
This year, both Erin and I are going through the Invisalign process and we are so excited to share the process and our experience with you. Last year, I became officially metal-free with Dr. Holinbeck’s help and could not be more excited.

First, meet our friend, Dr. Udoka Holinbeck.
Born in Nigeria and raised in North Carolina, Dr. Holinbeck has also lived in Texas and California; she is now proud to call Wisconsin her home. When building Bionica Dental Wellness of Delafield, her goal was to provide a safe place for people to receive dental treatment that aligns with their own values. Quality care is very important to Dr. Holinbeck, so she has dedicated her career to continually learning the most modern techniques. Her devotion to kindness and integrity will be evident from your very first visit, as is her dedication to improving your quality of life through exceptional dentistry. Dr. Holinbeck has spent the last decade pursuing continuing education so that she can confidently provide her patients with the best care possible. It was tough for her to balance this with growing her family and raising her children, but in 2020, her hard work paid off when she was awarded Fellowship status with the Academy of General Dentistry (FAGD), a designation only achieved by 6% of dentists in the US and Canada. 5 Things to Expect From a Holistic Dentist
1. Conversations about your overall health and how it relates to your oral health

I am so excited to be metal free as of last year! I had no idea the impact of heavy metals in my mouth and then when I did learn some of the health side effects, I couldn’t wait to get all the metal out. Not only does Bionica Dental Wellness remove the toxic materials, but they do so using the “SAFE” method.

One thing I loved about Dr. Holinbeck is that the initial exam was extremely thorough and then she scheduled a full consultation in her office to go through the findings, look at reports and go through images and pictures together – in detail! As she was sitting and explaining things to me (good and bad) I realized that no dentist has ever sat down with me in this much detail and care about my health and oral health. Dr. Holinbeck was not pushy about any services she felt that I could benefit from, but she was happy to jump in when I was ready.

My smile wasn’t horrible, but there are things about it that I didn’t love. Because I am often in pictures on Lake Country Family Fun, I really wanted to LOVE my smile. Next, Dr. Holinbeck used the scans to send off the details to Invisalign. In 6 weeks, I had my first appointment to put on the Invisalign. I had 4 mini resin buttons put on my front teeth (more to come) and was given two sets of retainers to use for two weeks each before my next appointment in a month where I would get more nodules put on.
