According to the wind lake fireworks page,

“Due to safety concerns, the company that ignites the fireworks cannot host the show tonight.
If lightening strikes even a few miles away it could ignite the firework barges with someone on them.
We do not want anyone to get hurt.

We hear the community and want to ensure everyone has time to plan ahead. The firework company also only has certain dates available.

The new date for the Wind Lake Firework show is Saturday, August 28th to celebrate the end of summer.

Thank you for your support & understanding. The safety of those that put on this show is priority & we cannot move forward knowing someone’s safety would be at risk if we continued to host the show today.”

Wind Lake 4th of July Fireworks will be launched on Saturday, June 26th, 2021. They are currently fundraising. To donate, please click or tap HERE. If you’re not familiar with Wind Lake, it’s just south of Muskego and Big Bend to the south of Waukesha County.
