4th of July Event Guide Lake Country family Fun fireworks parades celebrations

The Waukesha July 4th Fireworks are planned for Monday, July 3, 2023.

The Independence Day celebration concludes with a bang! Bring your blankets and chairs to Lowell Park *NOTE THE LOCATION. The fireworks will kick off at 9:30 pm.

The Independence Day Fireworks show will move to Monday, July 3 at 9:30 p.m. at Lowell Park, 2201 Michigan Ave this year.

The change in the fireworks date benefits the public in allowing the fireworks to take place the night before the traditional holiday, with many people having off work the next day. Scheduling the parade and fireworks on different days also allows for efficiency of City services.

The Independence Day parade will continue to be held on the 4th of July at 11 a.m.

Waukesha July 4th Fireworks 2023

The City’s 4th of July fireworks show will take place on Monday, July 3 at 9:30pm at Lowell Park (2201 Michigan Avenue).

  • 6pm- Beer Garden opens at Lowell Park including music and local food trucks
      • Head to Lowell Park starting at 6 p.m. to enjoy the Neighborhood Beer Garden with beverages, food trucks, and a rockin’ performance by The Cheap Shots!
  • 9:30pm- Fireworks show at Lowell Park. Show will feature an all-blue Waukesha Strong segment and honor the victims of the Christmas parade tragedy.

“As the airport has expanded over the years, we have made adjustments to allowable shell sizes and launch locations in efforts to continue safely conducting fireworks displays at this location,” said City of Waukesha Fire Chief, Steve Howard. “After last year’s display, I felt it necessary to re-evaluate the use of this site for future fireworks displays. It appears that Lowell Park is a viable alternate site within the City.”
“We are excited to offer the experience of the July4th fireworks in Lowell Park,” said special event coordinator, Joanna Adamicki. “The topography of the park lends itself to a great fireworks experience for those in attendance and we are looking forward to offering the show, coupled with our successful Neighborhood Beer Gardens.”
