Memorial Day Observances in Waukesha

May 27 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Free

There will be a number of Memorial Day Observances in Waukesha in 2024. The Waukesha Allied Veterans Council will host the Memorial Day observances on Monday, May 27 to include:

The Allied Veterans of Waukesha have collectively decided to not host the Memorial Day Parade in the City of Waukesha. Many factors went into this decision including the time and energy it takes to manage the parade, volunteer hours required to host the parade, and declining participation by Veteran organizations.
Efforts will be focused on the River Service, now moving to Veterans Park (710 N. West Ave.) and the formal program at Cutler Park (321 Wisconsin Ave.). The two parks are within short walking distance of each other.
Please show your support by joining the Allied Veterans of Waukesha on Memorial Day, Monday, May 27 for the following:
◾10:00 a.m. – We welcome all to gather together and cast flowers into the river in tribute to those who made the ultimate sacrifice.
◾11:00 a.m. – Please join us for a program honoring all who have died and served our country. Speakers will include the honorable mayor, Shawn Reilly, and keynote speaker, David Carroll, PhD, Assistant Clinical Professor of Behavioral Health Psychology, School of Education and Human Services, Carroll University. The Waukesha Civic Band will perform the National Emblem March.
