Moonlit Movies is a FREE summertime staple in Oconomowoc.  Moonlit Movies are completely free family fun; there is a request for non-perishable food donations for the food pantry.  This is a Lake Country Family Fun favorite event, as our family attends nearly every movie night. The kids love to roam the park, visit the vendors, take in the ski show, grab a yummy snack of kettle corn all before we sit down to watch the movie. We were sad to miss these in 2020, but so excited that they are back in Fowler Park since and in 2025!

Arrive early to see the Badgerland Ski Team on Fowler Lake!

*Pro tip – the June movie starts LATE. When my kids were little, we would go do all the fun things in the daylight at the park, including the ski show and then head home for bedtime. We went for a few years before they even realized there were movies! It’s much easier now that they are older, but be prepared if you stay for the entire movie, you are likely leaving the park around 11 pm at night.

2:00 pm ‑ The Moonlit Movies Staff will make a decision to cancel if the weather is questionable. Check their Facebook page for the latest updates.
6:00 pm – Evening Begins
7‑8:00 pm – Badgerland Waterski Show
Approximately 8:45 pm – Pre‑movie video & raffle of best seats in the house
9:00 pm – Movie Starts

Moonlit Movie Tips:

• Bring chairs and blankets for seating
• Feel free to bring your own snacks and beverages, but if you forget there are concessions available prior to the movie. My kids love getting the kettle corn popcorn they sell! (Cash only!)
• Bring in any donations for the Oconomowoc Food Pantry (nonperishable food item or cash). By bringing a donation, you are automatically entered into a drawing for “The Best Seats in the House” sponsored by Sherpers in Oconomowoc – including prime new comfy seats, a stocked cooler & a blanket – and you get to take it all home!
• Don’t wait too long to use the restrooms as the lines can get long.
• Don’t forget bug spray, even though the park is sprayed prior to the movies, some years are just bad no matter how well it is treated.
• Bring a flash light (or the light on your fully charged phone – but silence it during the event). You’ll want to get home safely and ensure that you leave the park clean where you were sitting.
• Be courteous to others attending and while driving. There are lots of little ones very excited, and they forget the rules of the road.
• Park in legal areas and don’t block residents’ driveways.
• Have a blast!
