Check out the Wisconsin Science Festival on Saturday, October 19, 2019, at the Pewaukee Public Library.

The Wisconsin Science Festival is a state-wide event with different activities to do at various locations throughout the state.  The Pewaukee Public Library will have three separate science-themed programs taking place that day:

  • Hands-On Science: 9:30 am to 12:30 pm. Stop in and experience over a dozen hands-on science activities!  Learn about magnets, circuits, slime, geology, rockets, and much more!  So many fun things to do and kids will even get to take some of their experiments home.  Perfect for curious kids and their adults!
  • Kohl’s Wild Theater Show: 2:00 pm to 2:45 pm. Those talented actors from the Milwaukee County Zoo’s Kohl’s Wild Theater will be at the library to present their new show, “The Monarch: A Space Adventure.”  Join the cast as they travel through the solar system on The Monarch, a futuristic e spaceship.  This entertaining musical explores Earth’s capacity to support life and touches on topics of conservation, sustainable energy, and planetary science!
  • Robotics Presentation: 3:30 pm to 4:30 pm. FIRST Team #1259 Paradigm Shift Robotics Presentation.  Students and Mentors from the Pewaukee High School’s Robotics Team will present an interactive demonstration of their team robot and talk to interested students and parents about the exciting world of robotics and how kids can get involved.  Stop in and meet the future!
  • Stargazing with the Pewaukee Astronomy Club 7:00-8:30 pm. The local experts from the Pewaukee Astronomy Club will share their personal telescopes so we can get a good look at the night sky and learn about a few of its amazing features.  If the weather doesn’t cooperate, they will do an indoor presentation.  Best for older kids, teens and adults.  *We will be outside, dress accordingly.

Move from station to station and try lots of hands-on experiments. Fun for kids and their adults!
