Summer Performers Schedule:
June 19: Wildlife in Need Center
Bring the whole family for a free performance!
Participants will meet Wildlife Ambassadors from the Wildlife in Need Center in Oconomowoc, see some of the animals up close and learn about how to interact with wild animals and how this wildlife rehabilitation center helps the animals that live in your own backyard.
No RSVP Required. Free tickets will be given out one half hour before the performance. Space is limited to the first 100 people.
June 26: Hale O Malo
An interactive program that features authentic cultural artifacts such as lava rocks, sea turtle shells, and traditional Hawaiian dance implements. Participants will observe ancient, traditional, and contemporary Hawaiian dance, and hear the blowing of the conch, the sounds of ancient drums, and the strumming of the ukulele.
July 10: James the Magician
An award-winning, interactive, comedy magic show.
July 17: Ryan Meisel
In his World Sound Explorations, Ryan will perform and demonstrate a collection of Native American and other indigenous flutes and woodwinds while facilitating drum circle activities with the audience. Attendees will learn about world music, how to play music creatively, and share and build relationships with members of their library community.
July 24: Mad Science of Milwaukee
During this event, attendees will be captivated by experiments demonstrating the principles of air and pressure. A dry-cleaning bag that becomes a hot air balloon, creating air vortexes with our vortex generator, and an exothermic reaction will leave the audience “blown” away!
No RSVP Required. Free tickets will be given out one half hour before the performance. Space is limited to the first 100 people.
