Loki’s Retirement Party

September 13 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Loki’s Retirement Party

UPDATE:

A Farewell to Loki

Dear Library friends,

It is with sad hearts that we announce Loki passed away this week due to multiple health conditions and complications from his recent surgery. He passed peacefully in his sleep on his favorite rock. He loved cuddles, hornworms, and seeing all of his library friends and fans. His party on September 13 will still take place to celebrate our love for him. Share your favorite Loki story with us here: https://forms.gle/gQkDbi2WLausFgvx6

Parents, we have a PBS resource here to help navigate the conversation with your kids about a pet dying. We know how much our families love Loki so we have prepared a list of picture books and other online resources to help. This can be picked up at the Circulation Desk or the Reference Desk.

We want to give a big thank you to the Oconomowoc Animal Hospital for helping us take care of him. We also want to give a big thank you to the Friends of the Library who have sponsored him and all of his care.
Thank you for loving Loki as much as we do.

Loki has decided that he is ready to retire, and he wants all of his library friends to join in sending him off!

A new bearded dragon will join the Library in late September. The Oconomowoc Public Library has received all the naming suggestions and have narrowed down the list to the top three choices.

Vote for your favorite name starting September 2. The name of the new ambassador will be revealed at Loki’s party.
