Bring your family to the annual Milwaukee north western model railroad open house at the Oconomowoc Area Historical Society & Museum. It will be open from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm on Saturday, November 5th at 103 W. Jefferson St. Oconomowoc. This is a free family-friendly open house where the Northwestern model railroad will be running along with other displays.

The Open House will feature the large 21’x32′ permanent HO scale model railroad exhibit as well as many other portable layouts and displays. Visitors will be invited to be engineers and operate the model trains. Six or more trains can operate simultaneously through many model towns and cities from Milwaukee to the Twin Cities. Admission is free but donations are accepted. Model railroading is an exciting hobby appealing to both the very young to older adults; it is a hobby that can be a life long interest involving history, engineering, architecture, geography and model building. The museum is handicap accessible on the east side of the building (There is ramp entrance, located on the Main Street side of the museum).

There will also be a sale table with various items available for purchase.
