Waukesha Christmas Parade

The City of Waukesha has announced the date for their annual Waukesha Christmas Parade: December 7, 2025.

The City of Waukesha’s 62nd Annual Christmas Parade, organized by the City of Waukesha Chamber of Commerce, will be held on Sunday, December 7, 2025, at 4:00 p.m

Downtown Waukesha comes alive with enchantment and merriment during its annual Christmas parade, a beloved tradition that brings the community together in the spirit of the season. As the first notes of festive music fill the air, eager spectators line the historic streets, their faces lit up with anticipation. Colorful floats adorned with shimmering lights and marching bands playing joyful melodies all make their way down the snow-dusted avenues. As they catch a glimpse of Santa Claus waving and as cheery parade participants distribute candy canes and treats, children’s eyes sparkle with delight. The atmosphere of warmth and togetherness is what makes the Christmas parade in Downtown Waukesha a heartwarming and unforgettable experience for all who attend.

For spectators coming to the parade, you will need to park using street parking or City parking lots outside of the parade perimeter (please view the parade map below) and walk to your viewing location.

2025 Parade Route
No vehicles will be able to park along roads in the closure area (view map) after 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 8. After 3:00 p.m., no traffic will be able to enter/exit the event area (view map below) until the conclusion of the event. Free 2-hour parking is available at the Transit Center Parking Ramp (enter off Brook Street) and at the South Street Parking Ramp (entrances off of South Street and Wisconsin Avenue).
Vehicle barriers purchased by the City of Waukesha will block off roads along the parade route. The Modular Vehicle Barriers (MVB) are designed to help protect crowds from traffic but can be easily moved out of the way if needed in an emergency.

The Chamber of Commerce is working closely with the City of Waukesha, the Police Department, the Fire Department, and the Department of Public Works to enhance the safety of parade participants and attendees. All parties involved are taking extra precautions to have a successful and safe event. For those who are uncomfortable attending in person, the City of Waukesha will live stream the parade.

AND don’t miss the “Dancing Snowmen”, who are making a comeback for a fourth year. Come watch all the dads and kids as they maneuver those inflatable snowmen “Macy’s Style” through the streets of Downtown Waukesha. Started in 1926, the YMCA Adventure Guides does not require a YMCA membership and is a father/son and father daughter program geared towards fathers and their children (K-7) building a bond through the activities they take part in together.
This great community of Waukesha has shown its resiliency, and we are proud to stand Waukesha Strong!

As we end in our e-newsletters here at Lake Country Family Fun:

We are Lake Country.
We are Waukesha County.
We are Wisconsin.
I love this community.

We will join together to help those affected and build a stronger community. Never forget.
