Super Hero Styling
A kids Arts & Crafts class focused on creativity, social and emotional learning and connecting as a community. This week’s theme has changed from Super Hero Styling to Rainbow Resiliency!
This class is created in honor of a beloved Lake County teacher, Mrs. Seraphine, and her son who is undergoing treatment for leukemia. Half of all proceeds will go to support her family’s extra expenses through this journey. The theme of this class is the symbol of rainbows, hope and resiliency. Our project will be using mixed textiles such as fabrics, feathers, ribbons and more to create inspiring rainbows. The themed story book is I Got This! I Have a Bounce Back Superpowers by Julia Cook and Michael Borba. The social and emotional skills of resiliency and hope will be woven throughout the class. Children participating that know Mrs. Seraphine will also have the opportunity to hand make a card for her and/or her son. Our classes center on the concept of community, and it is Creative Kids Community’s honor to support this event for the Seraphine family.
