It’s Our Fox River Day – Celebrate the Fox River through Exploration!

Don’t miss the largest watershed event that demonstrates a unified effort of the Southeast Fox River Partnership to care for our Fox River.  The City of Waukesha, Wisconsin DNR and 22 other watershed management units meet regularly to help identify priority issues.

Without interruption, the Fox River serves over one million watershed residents every day. It carries the wastewater and stormwater from over 100 communities and provides drinking water for over 300,000 residents. It also provides habitat for a diversity of plants and animals and is an exceptional resource for boaters, paddlers, anglers, and photographers. All the while, the Fox River brings economic value through its aesthetic appeal to every riverfront community.

High Roller Fun Rentals: Kayak the Fox River on Your Own

Saturday, September 20, 2025: It’s Our Fox River Day/Oktoberfest Special
One day only, 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. (special limited to one hour per person)
Kayak rentals are $8.00 per hour for each paddler.
Bike Special: $8.00 per hour for each peddler.

Fox River Clean Up Day – Friends of the Fox River

Saturday, September 20, 2025 – 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Join Friends of the Fox River in cleaning up the Fox River frontage area along the Fox River Sanctuary. Volunteers would need to provide their own canoes or kayaks and be experienced paddlers (able to reach, lean, and get in and out of boats at times). Friends of the Fox River will provide trash removal tools.

Fox River Clean Up Volunteers will receive a ticket for a free root beer and pretzel at Oktoberfest!
