Learn to Ice Fish, Pike Lake

January 11, 2020 @ 9:00 am - 3:00 pm

Stop into the Pike Lake office at your convenience and learn from Ranger Justin on how to set up ice fishing equipment, the proper gear to take out, and answer any ice fishing questions you may have to learn to ice fish. You are welcome to bring your own fishing equipment along. If you have the time, you can build and decorate your own jigging stick for free! This program will be a great start for the second Learn to Ice Fish event on Pike Lake the following Saturday.

About Pike Lake:

The Pike Lake Unit of the Kettle Moraine State Forest is in the middle of the Kettle Moraine, a strip of glacial landforms which extends through southeastern Wisconsin to Lake Winnebago. The forest is named after the 522-acre, spring-fed kettle: Pike Lake. Powder Hill, a large glacial kame, provides the opportunity for a great hike and view. Visitors can enjoy camping, swimming, hiking, fishing, picnicking, and much more within the forest.
