Celebrate the completion of a major new trail connection at the Lake Country & Jefferson County Interurban Trail Ribbon Cutting in Oconomowoc!
The community is invited to celebrate the completion of Jefferson County’s Interurban Trail and the final western segment of Waukesha County’s Lake Country Trail. Together, these projects add 12.5 miles of new trail for bicycling, rollerblading, walking, and outdoor recreation in the Lake Country and Jefferson County area.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place Thursday, September 3, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. at the 2nd Street Lake Country Trail Trailhead in Oconomowoc.
After the ceremony, attendees are invited to bring their bikes, rollerblades, and themselves to explore the newly completed trail.

This new trail connection represents 12.5 miles of new trail and provides another opportunity for families and outdoor enthusiasts to explore the Lake Country area by bike, rollerblades, or on foot.
The project was made possible in part through the generosity of We Energies, WisDOT, WDNR, Greater Watertown Community Health Foundation, Earl and Eugenia Quirk Foundation, and the Oconomowoc Rotary.
