Fright Hike- Lapham Peak State Park
Happy Halloween!! The Fright Hike at Lapham Peak State Park is BACK IN 2024 for their 25th anniversary!!
The Friends of Lapham Peak will be hosting the Annual Fright Hike on Friday, October 25th, and Saturday, October 26th, 2024 from 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm at Lapham Peak State Park in Delafield (south of I-94).
Each Halloween season, for two nights, the beautiful, moonlit, paths of Lapham Peak are riddled with ghosts and goblins. Brought to you by the Friends of Lapham Peak, Fright Hike is a mile long walk through the dark forest with scary scenes performed by local organizations. Proceeds benefit the Friends of Lapham Peak’s Projects that directly support Lapham Peak!
For two nights only, the beautiful, moonlit, paths of Lapham Peak State Park are riddled with spooks. Local school groups create and act out scary skits along the 1+ mile trail Halloween weekend. Don’t miss your chance to spend some time outdoors and vote for your favorite haunted scene.
The annual Fright Hike is held rain or shine. Limited tickets available online only. $20 per person. Lapham Peak State Park requires a $5.00/vehicle fee or annual state park sticker to enter. Concessions available. Proceeds benefit Friends of Lapham Peak, for projects in the Park including snow making.
No pets. No smoking. No littering. No refunds.
Physical contact with the performers is not permitted. For your safety, please stay on the trails. Trails are uneven and can be rough and muddy at times, dress appropriately.

Approximately 4,000 hikers attend every year.
About 1 mile of rolling forest trails that takes approximately 45 minutes to complete. The trails wind through the woods over roots, mulch, and rocks; strollers and wheelchairs are not recommended.
With large crowds and horses at this event, for the safety of cast members and other guests, the organizers cannot permit pets at Fright Hike.
Concessions will be available – credit cards are accepted.
Fright Hike Ticket Information
This local Halloween tradition sells out quickly so reserve your tickets early. Purchase tickets directly from THE FRIGHT HIKE WEBSITE. Tickets must be purchased Online (no tickets will be sold at the door). If you arrive at the door without a ticket, you will be asked to go online and purchase using your smart phone if any are still available for $20.00 per person. For this special event, Lapham Peak State Park requires a $5.00/vehicle fee or valid annual State Park sticker to access the park. Carpooling is encouraged.
This event can only accommodate about 2,000 guests per night. If you purchase a ticket for Friday, you must use that ticket Friday (rain or shine). They will not accept Friday tickets on Saturday or vice versa.
The Fright Hike entrance line closes at 8:30pm. All ticket holders must be in the park and in line prior to 8:30pm for admittance; plan accordingly.
Proceeds benefit The Friends of Lapham Peak, for projects within the Park, including Snowmaking and Habitat Restoration. This event is their biggest fundraiser. Thank you for the support.
