Trick or Treat Tyke Hike

Get ready for a spooktacular morning on the trail!
Join on Saturday, October 17 from 10–11 AM for our Trick-or-Treat Trail Tyke Hike along the Bark River!
Grab your little ghouls, goblins, witches and wizards and join in for a spooktacular morning of hiking, trick-or-treating, and Halloween fun! Families are invited to enjoy a Tyke Hike on the Ice Age Trail along the Bark River at your own pace. This is not a guided group hike—instead, your family can walk together, stop at trick-or-treat stations along the way, and enjoy the Halloween fun!

Trick or Treat Tyke Hike Details

Start: Delafield Fish Hatchery
Finish: St. John’s Park
Costumes encouraged!

A few things to know:

  • Kids, be sure to bring your grown-up with you for the entire hike!
  • Bring your own bucket, bag or favorite treat-collecting container.
  • The trail is short and family-friendly, so take your time and enjoy nature.
  • Look for the Ice Age/Tyke Hike sign at the starting point.
  • A friendly volunteer will be waiting to give you a big BOO! and send your family on your way.

Once your family reaches St. John’s Park, stick around for the festive Hiker Oasis!

  • Halloween photo booth
  • Spooky tunes
  • Temporary tattoos
  • More Halloween fun
  • And maybe even a special guest!

After you’ve had your fill of Halloween fun, head into downtown Delafield to explore, grab a treat and make an afternoon of it with your family! Feel free to ask an IAT volunteer for any recommendations.

Costumes Encouraged!

Come dressed as your favorite superhero, princess, monster, pumpkin—or anything delightfully spooky! Not required of course.
