West Bend Christmas Tree Lighting

Join your neighbors for the start of the holiday season with the city’s official Christmas Tree Lighting on Thursday, November 6, 2025 at Old Settlers Park in downtown West Bend. Main Street in front of the park will be closed off by 4:00 pm.

Many downtown specialty shops and businesses will be celebrating their own holiday Open House events beginning Thursday and continuing through the weekend. Stop in for deals and specials. The Downtown West Bend Association will be selling hot chocolate and hot cider on the street from 5:00 pm through 7:00 pm. We’ll also be promoting our Autumn Wine Walk and our new holiday event.

Live entertainment begins at 5:30 pm, followed by an official welcome by Mayor Ongert with some special guests from the movie A Christmas Story!

The lights should be switched on by 6:30 pm. Santa and Mrs. Claus will then be on hand for free photos with children in front of the newly lit Christmas tree.

But wait, there’s more holiday fun downtown – The Bend Theater is hosting the movie A Christmas Story at 7:00 pm just down the street. This is a ticketed event – check availability with The Bend and book ahead.
