We love a good outdoor series! Welcome to Wee Wonders at Retzer Nature Center in Waukesha. Discover nature in a fun, hands-on way! Wee Wonders is a monthly program for kids (ages 2-4) to explore, learn, and get curious about the world around them.
- Second Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday of the month • 9:30-10:30 a.m. (all days) • 1-2 p.m. (Tuesday only)
Wee Wonders offers hands-on experiences about a variety of nature topics.
• Required; register online by noon the day before.
• Walk-ins are welcome if space allows; call ahead and arrive by 9:15 a.m.
• Each child must be accompanied by an adult – no drop offs!
• Each Wee Wonder program includes an outdoor experience; please dress for the weather
• Cost is $6 per child per program, ages 2-4.

- SEPTEMBER 8, 9, or 10 — Apples: Learn about the life cycle of our favorite fall fruit and see which apples are made for us or made for wildlife.
- OCTOBER 13, 14, or 15 — Fall into Fall: Feel the cool breeze of fall as we explore what’s happening outdoors, with animals, and the signs of a changing season.
- NOVEMBER 10, 11, or 12 — Busy Trees: Find out what parts of a tree are alive with activity, then hike to see them in action.
- DECEMBER 8, 9, or 10 — Winter Birds: Let’s discover the brave birds facing the cold, how they survive, and how we can lend a helping hand.

Each program includes an outdoor experience; please dress for the weather. Please register online at least 24 hours prior to the program. Walk-ins are welcome, space permitting, but registration is highly preferred. Join them all. Child must be attended by an adult. This is not a drop off event.
