The Waukesha Citizens Police Academy, Inc. in coordination with the Waukesha Police Department is proud to present the 11th annual Run with the Cops 5k fun run/walk in downtown Waukesha on Friday, August 15, 2025. This family event will be held during Waukesha Downtown Friday Night Live.

Public safety displays will be located at the start/finish line between 6:00pm and 7:30pm. The race will start at 7:30pm. The start and finish line for the race is located adjacent to Veteran’s Park at the corner of Wisconsin Avenue and N. West Avenue.

Participants that sign up by July 24th will receive a one-of-a-kind Run With The Cops T-shirt. The current sign-up fee is $40.00. Kids 12 and under are free, but do not receive a T-shirt. You may register for the event at runwiththecopswaukesha.com. All proceeds from this event benefit the Waukesha Police Department.

The Waukesha Citizens Police Academy Association, Inc. (WCPAA) is a 501 (c) (3) charitable organization comprised of citizens that volunteer their time and talent to support the Waukesha Police Department and help raise funds for the department’s needs. The main focus of WCPAA is to raise money to purchase items or services for the Police Department that are not covered by their annual budget.

Members of the Waukesha Citizens Police Academy Association are all graduates of the Waukesha Citizens Police Academy. The Academy is designed to give enrollees a better understanding of the functions, operations, and objectives of the Waukesha Police Department. The Academy is held annually in the Fall, starting in late August.
