Waffles with the Wizard

Get your forks ready, the Oconomowoc Community Theatre (OCT), is hosting a waffle breakfast on Saturday, June 22, from 9 am to 1 pm at Cornerstone Sports Pub & Eatery in Oconomowoc.  A waffle buffet, complete with eggs, sausage, and fresh fruit will be served. Tickets for adults are $13 and tickets for those age 10 and under are $8. Tickets may be purchased at www.OconomowocCommunityTheatre.org/community-event

This event is being held to celebrate all things Oz in honor of the 85th Anniversary of the premiere of “The Wizard of Oz” movie in Oconomowoc and to generate awareness of the upcoming production of The Wizard of Oz by OCT being performed in July at the Oconomowoc Arts Center.

What to Expect:

• Photo Ops: OCT’s theatre cast will be present in costume and with props, providing multiple photo opportunities, plus face painting by theatre artists.
• Waffle Buffet:
• Emerald City Punch: Enjoy Cornerstone’s festive Emerald City Punch.
• Chocolate Fountain: Indulge in waffle dippers dipped in a chocolate fountain.
• Cash Bar: Adults may enjoy a cash bar with mimosas and Bloody Marys.

Don’t miss OCT’s inaugural production of “The Wizard of Oz,” featuring a live orchestra and special stage effects including acrobatic flying monkeys. The show will grace the stage at the Oconomowoc Arts Center July 19-21. Tickets may be purchased online or in person.

Oconomowoc Community Theatre is a nonprofit based in Oconomowoc, which will produce one summer show each year in the tradition of Oconomowoc’s successful Summer Theatre in the 1980s-90s. Their mission is to entertain audiences while creating an environment where adults and children may collaborate and create quality productions. Performances will take place at the Oconomowoc Arts Center.
