Scarecrow Stroll in downtown Waukesha
From October 3 to October 11, downtown Waukesha invites the community to celebrate autumn in a charming, hands-on way with the Scarecrow Stroll. During the week, local businesses, shops, and restaurants display creative scarecrows along the streets for pedestrians to admire and cast votes for their favorites. Voting remains open until 3:00 PM on October 11.
The festivities culminate in a Grand Finale Celebration on Saturday, October 11 (1:00 PM to 4:00 PM) along Riverfront Street. That afternoon, attendees can enjoy live music, a variety of vendors, family-friendly seasonal activities, and fall treats. At 3:45 PM, the DJ will announce the winner of the community’s favorite scarecrow.
All week, downtown shops and pop-ups will offer fall-themed specials, cozy seasonal goods, and seasonal flavors for visitors to sample and enjoy.
Families are encouraged to bring children along for crafts, photo opportunities, and festive fun.
The Scarecrow Stroll presents a warm, invitational autumn experience – part community contest, part street festival, part seasonal showcase – bringing together creativity, local businesses, and family fun in the heart of Waukesha.
AND if you are looking for more scarecrows to stroll by, check out Retzer Nature Center’s Scarecrow Lane going on daily through October 31, 2025!
