A Night in Guatemala at the UWM Manfred Olson Planetarium

Celebrate Latine Heritage Month with a night of sounds, stories, and stars! UWM Film instructor Renato Umali will share his short film “Diaries From Guatemala” about a trip that opened his eyes to Guatemala’s vast culture and recent history. This event is cosponsored by the Center for Latin American and Caribbean Studies and UWM Union Sociocultural Programming.

The program will include an indoor stargazing session of the night sky followed by the opportunity to ask questions., This event is open to the public. Not recommended for children under 4., No advance registration is required.

**Fun Fact, did you know that I (Erin) took my kids to Guatemala in March 2025 for a full immersion experience? I did and would highly recommend checking out Culture Chalk to experience the same!
