August 6th is National Root Beer Float Day! There seems to be a day for everything! If root beer floats are your thing – and you’re up for a car ride – head to Sprecher’s in Glendale! Sprecher’s has partnered with locally owned and operated Cedar Crest Ice Cream, to try to set a Guiness Book World Record for the World’s Largest Root Beer Float Drive- Thru! If you want to be a part of history in the making – bring your patience 🙂

Details on this epic National Root Beer Float Day:

• FREE – yes the root beer floats are free!
• Remain in your car the entire time.
  • • To arrive, drive East on Glendale Avenue from Green Bay Avenue. There will likely be back-ups, so please bring your patience.
    • Again, you must remain in your car the entire time as it is a drive-thru only event.
• Only at the Sprecher’s Glendale location (701 W. Glendale Ave, Glendale, WI)
• From noon to 8:00 pm on Thursday, August 6th, 2020.
• It’s recommended to donate online to FEEDING AMERICA by texting FLOAT to 41444

*To stay local, Sendik’s are offering complimentary root beer float samples made with Sprecher Root Beer and Cedar Crest ice cream. Also, proceeds from the purchase of both will be made toward the MACC Fund, through Tuesday, August 11.

*Another local option – head to Chick-fil-A Pewaukee for a DIY Root Beer Float:

• Step One: You go through our Chick-fil-A Pewaukee’s drive-thru today (anytime until close) and order ice-cream. ?
• Step Two: Mention that you’re interested in our ‘secret menu item’ (the root beer float) ?~ and maybe some extra napkins.
• Step Three: Go to a FLAT surface. We don’t want any spills. Step Four: Combine the ice cream ? with the root beer?
• Step Five: Drink and ENJOY
