Bring your children to the Delafield Library on select dates from 3:00 to 4:00 pm to see a variety of summer performers OUTSIDE! Guest performances in summer 2023 by naturalists, magicians, and animal friends! Join everyone outside in the library garden for a lively guest performance! There is NO RSVP necessary for these summer performers. Each event will be weather permitting. You won’t want to miss these Wonderful Wednesdays!

Summer Performers Schedule:

June 14: WENDY & DB

Wendy & DB – Grammy Nominated and Award-Winning Chicago Kindie Music Duo Wendy and DB provide Interactive concerts focusing on Community building, Nature and the Blues. With their latest Grammy Nominated album, “Into the Little Blue House,” Wendy and DB find creative ways to explore the world through their music in their live show. Their energy is contagious, and the fun will last all the way home!

No RSVP Required. Free tickets will be given out one half hour before the performance. Space is limited to the first 100 people.

June 21: MAGIC MORGAN

Magic Morgan – Prepare for eye-popping illusions, dazzling balloon sculptures and stunts with live animals-along with seemingly impossible tricks-in an unusual and incredible display of magic when deaf entertainer Magic Morgan and Liliana return to Fond du Lac Public Library. Back by popular demand, two-time recipient of the World Deaf Magician Award Matthew “Magic” Morgan and Liliana truly keep the audience at the heart of the show by inviting kids and parents onstage to be a part of the magic. Come and be amazed as this husband and wife act combines magic, miming and comedy while communicating in the universal language of fun!

No RSVP Required. Free tickets will be given out one half hour before the performance. Space is limited to the first 100 people.

June 28: SNAKE DISCOVERY

Slither into the world of reptiles by meeSnake Discovery – “Snake, Rattle, and Roll” Slither into the world of reptiles to meet the species that call Minnesota and Wisconsin home! You’ll get to watch a salamander eat, debunk turtle myths, touch snakes, and more during this engaging 45-minute program! Time is reserved after the presentation to touch and hold the reptiles for a truly hands-on experiencing several species that call Wisconsin home! From diet to habitat and behavior, with plenty of fun facts in-between, attendees will learn what makes our cold-blooded friends so unique in this engaging program.

Kids and adults are welcome to touch (and even hold) the ambassador animals for a truly hands-on experience!

July 12: WILDLIFE IN NEED CENTER

Wildlife in Need Center – Meet Wildlife Ambassadors from the Wildlife in Need Center in Oconomowoc. You’ll get to see some of the animals up close and learn about how to interact with wild animals you may encounter. You can bring a bag of birdseed to donate to the center if you wish.

No RSVP Required. Free tickets will be given out one half hour before the performance. Space is limited to the first 100 people.

July 19:  Horwitz-DeRemer Planetarium

The Sun and Su Familia – This solar system program presented by the Horwitz-DeRemer Planetarium is sure to spice up children’s vocabularies and knowledge of each of our planets. Kids and their grown ups will take part in an interactive bilingual expedition through the solar system.!

No RSVP Required. Free tickets will be given out one half hour before the performance. Space is limited to the first 100 people.

July 26: Duke Otherwise

Duke Otherwise is a playful Wordsmith. A spirited performer. A skilled Guitarist and captivating Tap-Dancer. Using his distinct Baritone, he sings his hilarious and Imaginative songs that all ages will delight in together. Join us for a fun and entertaining time!
