An event every day that begins at 10:00am, repeating until September 24, 2017
DOORS OPEN MILWAUKEE is Historic Milwaukee’s most ambitious project. As a nonprofit organization, Historic Milwaukee, Inc. has been dedicated to increasing awareness of and commitment to Milwaukee’s history, architecture, and the preservation of our built environment through education and advocacy since 1974.
Explore Milwaukee during the 7th annual Doors Open Milwaukee, set for September 23 and 24, 10 am to 5 pm! Milwaukee will open the doors to over 150 wonderful buildings free-of-charge to the public –buildings that hold hidden treasures and special stories – from churches to office buildings, theaters to work sites, museums to hotels, clubs to universities; all sites of historic, architectural, cultural, or commercial interest. There will be dozens of expert led tours, kids activity book/passport by Adam Carr, Author of Explore MKE, water passport sponsored by Fund for Lake Michigan, featured buildings in Layton Boulevard West and Lindsay Heights, and more!
Visit here to start planning your weekend.
Tour tickets will be available to members of Historic Milwaukee beginning August 23 and to the general public on September 6.
