April LCFF Club MOM Meetup

Join us at Retzer Nature Center on April 26th at 3:00 pm where Tom Pease is playing.  If you don’t know who Tom Pease is you will be singing his songs afterwards.  He is a wonderful and energetic children’s performer and will having you dancing along.  All the events are free at Retzer for the day except for food if you choose.  So join us for this fun event.


Groups depart at 9:00 am, 10:00 am, 11:00 am 
(meet by main entrance) 
Join Retzer Naturalist Larry Kascht for a bird watching adventure. Learn how to participate in this fascinating & fun activity through a guided tour of feathered wildlife. This program includes 1/2 hour discussion and 1/2 hour hike on wooded and open areas on gentle terrain, near the building. No need to register.

(9:00 am-3:00  pm) 
Activities & Games – “Natural Creations & Explorations ” 
Kids of all ages will enjoy a variety of crafts and activities by using natural and recycled materials.  Create recycled lawn and garden art, go on a “nature exploration” scavenger hunt, make some 3D projects, and have fun creating unusual crafts with everyday items found around the house. 

(2:00-3:00 pm) – Meet by main entrance 
Enjoy this guided hike on trails in wooded and open areas on moderately hilly terrain. No need to register.

(3:00-5:00 pm) 
Music to get the whole family singing and dancing.

CAMPFIRE SONGS & S’MORES (5:00-7:00 pm) 

MAGICAL MYSTERY TOUR: Guided Twilight Hike Into 
Brown’s Fen (Approx. 7:15-9:00 pm)

This nature area features frogs and peepers, woodcocks, coyotes, and constellations. Enjoy your own treasure hunt.  This hike is on very hilly terrain, in twilight and darkness, so bring your flashlight.  This is recommended for older children and there is no need to register.
