Included in the kick-off event will be a toast, salute, and presentation of the flag, highlights from the Executive Director, Chrissy Gluege, key notes from the Fair President, Aaron Schuett, a message from our County Executive, Paul Farrow, some history from our 2022 Fairest of the Fair, Emma Vorpagel, introduction of this year’s Fair Marshal, Dave Kilpatrick, added mentions from Amanda Payne, Vice President of the Waukesha County Business Alliance, and much more!

The ceremony is courtesy of the Waukesha County Historical Society & Museum, Sons of the American Revolution Color Guard, Day-Lite Masonic Lodge #358 F & M, Schuett Farms, Stigler Farms, Waukesha County Business Alliance, and many others.

“We are so proud to be bringing us together in 2022 with an amplified opening ceremony commemorating the 180th Anniversary of this iconic, summer event,” said Chrissy Gluege. “The Fair is all about the people and our community – celebrating moments together, making memories to cherish for a lifetime. We invite everyone to come out and see all that the 180th Anniversary has to offer!”

The Waukesha County Fair Association is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit volunteer organization that is completely separate and receives no funding from Waukesha County or the City of Waukesha. The Fair is the oldest in the state and the largest event in Waukesha County. July 20th – 24th marks the 180th anniversary of the Waukesha County Fair, presented by Inpro.
